In many ways this is nothing more unusual than scoring of any kind, yet there’s a sense in which systems based approaches to electronic music composition requires a variety of approaches to navigation: to navigation of the system itself and its multiple parameters, modifers, etc., and a sense that by way of a systems approach to composition the artist navigates a systemic conception of the global-scale, earth magnitudes, or sublime systems. This will be the topic of a forthcoming paper.
